don't believe the hype

Well I've been on leave since Easter, and it's been good! Had a great brunch on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately I got overtired and got sick that day, just felt really tired. On Monday I headed off to Arapiles and when I got up in the morning I felt absolutely awful... was thinking about calling it off. We spent until Saturday at Arapiles. Weather wasn't fantastic, mornings were usually good with patchy rain in the afternoon. Friday was beautiful. We had fun getting halfway up a few climbs. We managed to complete Agamemnon (lives up to the hype!), Eskimo Nell (I led the bits I hadn't led previously), and Marmot's Mall (surprisingly tricky). I would have done a bit more leading but didn't feel 100% - nose was stuffy and I kept coughing. Luckily I didn't have the kind of cough where you can't stop coughing if your core temperature rises too much.
Since I got back I've just been relaxing, trying to sleep a lot and getting a few odds and ends done in town. I'm heading to Mt. Pilot tomorrow (Friday) with Ken, he just randomly showed up on Tuesday night for a boulder and we decided to head out. I want to try and redpoint the slab climb we tried a few weeks ago - it's marked as 18 but we all (Andrew, Rod and I) thought it was harder.
On Sunday I'm going golfing with the social club from work at Thurgoona Golf Club, so that should be fun too. Then back to work on Monday! Any more holidays and I'll start getting lazy.
